With such young children there a bound to be behavioral challenges that arrive from time to time. Our staff is keen on all children conducting themselves in a matter that is respectful, safe and considerate of others.

If the child is 24 months old or younger we focus on redirection and plain language correct. For example, if a 24 month old or younger is hitting, we would firmly say No hitting and show them a better activity to engage with.

We use a similar method for older children as a warning. If the behavior continues we will place them in timeout to calm down and think about what they are doing. Time outs don’t exceed one minute per year of age the child is.

We also keep the families abreast of any behavioral challenges that arise and the corrective actions that took place.
